With Sidekick, you have the chance to do good by doing well. With every mission you complete in the app, you collect water drops. These water drops are then donated to our non-profit partner organisation, charity: water. All water drops collected help us fund water projects and provide safe and clean water to communities in Cambodia.

Sidekick is GDPR compliant, and is committed to protecting the data of every user. Sidekick securely stores your health data and will not share any personally identifiable data with third parties, including any of our programme partners.
To maximise health benefits, we recommend integrating the Sidekick app into your daily routine. Total commitment time will therefore vary between individuals, but we recommend planning for 5-10 minutes per day.
The programme takes 26 weeks to complete. The programme can be paused, and continued at a later date. After completing the program, you have the option to continue to use Sidekick's tracking and reminder features, as well as maintain access to all content in the app, including videos and mindfulness tools.
We have an entire team dedicated to researching and improving the effectiveness of all of our treatment programs. For example, one of our studies showed a reduction of 40% of disease-specific stress, while reducing the depression and anxiety scores at the same time.
No, there is currently no feature in the app that allows users to restart a Sidekick program. To force a restart of the program, quit the program by tapping on the main icon in the app, then tapping on the three dots in the top right of the screen, and then tap "Quit Program". To restart the process, you will need to request a new code. This action cannot be reversed and Sidekick will not be able to recover any deleted data after completing the process.
Yes, there is a premium version for people who are on specific medication plans. If you are not sure if you are eligible for this version, please speak to your doctor. No matter which programme you are in, both versions are highly-designed to help you manage your Eczema (also referred to as Atopic Dermatitis) in the best possible way.
Your Sidekick will present a new focus area each week, covering topics relevant to your health and AD. For example: improving stress and sleep management, improving eating habits, increasing physical activity. Each weekly topic is supported by an interactive lesson, missions, and additional program features to help best support your AD journey. Your Sidekick will adapt your missions based on your progress, interactions and preferences. After the first 4 weeks of introductory AD-specific content, you can choose which topics are most relevant for you. The topics include sleep, stress, well-being, behavioral change, nutrition, and physical activity.
Each of our programmes has a dedicated team that builds it, including clinicians, physicians, behavioral psychologists, and medical researchers from around the world. The programmes are all built to help you manage your chronic health condition and improve your quality of life.

Yes, you can pause the programme at any time by clicking on the weekly icon and then on the upper right.
When you reactivate the program, you will be able to resume where you left off.
Yes, Sidekick programs are sponsored by our partners and are "free forever" for users. You will never be asked to pay to continue using the app or to unlock features.

When sending a support request, Sidekick's customer success representatives will be able to see your name and email address, what device you are using, and the content of your message. No details of any programs you are in will be visible.
In the app, go to Settings and then navigate to the "Other" section, where you will find a button that allows you to delete all personally identifiable data from the app. This action cannot be reversed and Sidekick will not be able to recover any deleted data after completing the process.
There is currently no way to download your data from within the app. To request access to your data, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Access Request". If you don't want your data to be stored in Sidekick's cloud servers after completing a program, you also have the option to delete your account.

Sidekick does not actively track user location unless the user explicitly grants the app permission to track for an activity or exercise log. Sidekick passively receives an IP address from users' devices, which by design provides a location down to city or state. Learn more in our privacy policy.

Sidekick encrypts all personally identifiable data from end to end, in transit, and at rest with AES 256 bit encryption. Along with that, Sidekick limits the data that can be entered into the app. Sidekick will delete personally identifiable data after two years of inactivity. The primary purpose of processing your health data is to enable you to become a user of the Sidekick app, which is why we collect the necessary and optional data during the sign-up process. After the sign-up process is complete, the purpose of personal data processing is to enable you, as a user, to log relevant information within the app, to support and track your health journey in the best possible way. Sidekick processes the name you enter, the email address you provide, the password you choose when signing up, and your IP address. Additionally, Sidekick will keep track of the data you enter into the app, such as your activity log (which includes photos uploaded to the app, as well as step counter data from any connected devices). No, you do not need a phone number from the UK to receive an access code to download the programme. You can use any mobile phone number with the ability to receive a text message.
