The programme will present a new focus area based on your preferences each week for the patient, covering topics relevant to their overall health and atopic dermatitis management. Each weekly topic is supported by an interactive lesson, missions, and additional programme features to help best support their atopic dermatitis journey.

Who built the programme?

Each of our programmes has a dedicated team that builds it, including clinicians, physicians, behavioural psychologists, and medical researchers from around the world. The programmes are all built to help patients manage their chronic illness and improve their quality of life.

Is there a premium version or upgrade version of the programme?

There are two different versions of the programme. The foundational program contains the full 12-week program with all the relevant content and functions. Access to the Sidekick Health coach is also included, supporting you through personalised messages sent through the app. The 26-week programme is available to people who are on specific medication plans. This version opens two-way, in-app interactions with a health coach giving people the option to proactively ask questions. The scope of the health coach is on nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness. If a patient poses a medical question, they will be referred to their attending doctor. No matter which programme your patients are in, both versions are highly-designed to help them manage their atopic dermatitis in the best possible way.

How long is the programme for atopic dermatitis?

The programme takes 26 weeks to complete. The programme can be paused and continued at a later date. After completing the program, you have the option to continue to use Sidekick's tracking and reminder features, as well as maintain access to all content in the app, including videos and mindfulness tools.

What is the time commitment for the Sidekick atopic dermatitis programme?

To maximise health benefits, patients should plan to integrate the Sidekick app into their daily routine. Total commitment time will vary between individuals, but we recommend planning for 5-10 minutes each day.

Our research studies are conducted in cooperation with our partners, or with external program partners such as the Karolinska Institute or the National Hospital of Iceland. Learn more about our research process, our team, and our study pipeline here.

Is there a way for me to access my patient’s health data?

Patients can request their health data by contacting our data officer at [email protected] and can then independently share their data with you. We are aware of this potential barrier and are actively working on a way to better connect healthcare professionals and their patients. So stay tuned!

Can I try the programme myself?

Their backgrounds vary, each being experts in their field with a background in medicine and health: nurses, nutritionists, sports therapists, etc. They are not meant to replace the advice from doctors, but rather, serve as an additional source of support in the everyday life of people living with AD.
